Norwood Seymour

            The Reverend Norwood Seymour was saved in 1949 under the ministry of Evangelist Will Smith of Eight Mile, Alabama, during a revival at Central Assembly of God, in Biloxi, Mississippi.

He and Naomi Ruth Schmidt united in marriage in October 1950.  They raised three children, Norwood JR.(Buck), of Biloxi, MS who went home to be with our Lord in 2012, Deborah Wedgeworth of Biloxi, MS., and David Seymour of Eagle River, Alaska.

Pastor Seymour’s Assemblies of God credential was issued by the Mississippi District, signed by the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God at that time, Rev. Ralph M. Riggs.

The Seymour's have pastored Assemblies of God churches in Mississippi, Tennessee and Louisiana. In Mississippi they have pastored Bay St. Louis, Latimer A/G, First A/G Waynesboro, First A/G Columbus, First A/G Shubuta, Grace A/G New Albany, and Northside A/G Biloxi which they founded and built. They currently pastor at First A/G Gulfport since 1998. Here they have overseen twice the renovations of the facilities after 2 major Hurricanes, Georges in 1998 and Katrina in 2005

The Seymour's have traveled extensively across the United States in Evangelistic meetings, Camp meetings and teaching seminars with an emphasis on Prophecy and Tabernacle studies.

Pastor Seymour is an accomplished carpenter and woodworking craftsman.  He has built downsized and detailed replicas of the Old Testament Tabernacle furniture which on occasion is displayed for Biblical teaching.  The Menorah is his latest masterpiece in the year 2016.

Pastor Seymour’s secular employment in the Marine oil-producing industry took him to many parts of the world, England, The Netherlands, North Sea, Middle East, Persian Gulf, Mexico, Gulf of Mexico, and Santa Barbara Channel, California.  He achieved the rank of Captain of the High Seas and was an experienced aircraft pilot as well  For nine years he managed the largest Marine equipment program in the world, covering a territory from West Africa to the Philippines and Alaska, to Tierra Del Feugo Islands, South America. 

Pastor and Sister Seymour still serve the Lord with their hallmark of enthusiasm and devotion. They are loved and appreciated by their family, church congregation family, minister friends and associates.
